How To Store Leftovers
Sealing the leftovers with either plastic wrap and aluminum foil or moving them to an airtight container and storing them in the refrigerator for 3 days are the possible options. For the time being, you may keep the closed leftovers in the fridge for consumption later on.
However, if you prefer it, the method of heating the leftovers in the fridge, which is to place the baking dish back in the oven for 10 minutes, could also be used. Or you can heat the single servings in the microwave for 30 seconds.

Dump Cake Variations
There are so many dump cake recipes that can be created just by missing a few ingredients!
- Brown Sugar – I also really love this recipe with 1/2 cup of light granular sugar mixed in with the peaches and a few tablespoons sprinkled on top of the butter before cooking.
- Pecans – For a crunchy topping, sprinkle 1/2 cup of chopped pecans over the top of the cake mix and butter before cooking.
- Filling – This dump cake tastes different simply by swapping the canned peaches with your preferred canned pie filling! For a cherry dump cake, just get the cherry pie filling, and if you want an apple dump cake, all you need to do is take canned apple pie filling. If you want to make them even more delicious, then you can use strawberry or blueberry pie filling!
- Homemade Filling – You may think that canned fills are a quicker option, but you can make the recipe using your favorite homemade fruit-pie filling.
- Cake Mix –  Apart from using a vanilla cake mix, you can also try a spice cake mix, a white cake mix, or a yellow cake mix.
- Garnishes –  Match the garnishes to your filling! For a strawberry dump cake, garnish it with fresh strawberries, and for a blueberry dump cake, top it with patriotic sprinkles for a 4th of July dessert.
- Crock Pot –  This easy peach dump cake recipe can even be made in your crockpot! Simply spray non-stick cooking spray inside of your slow cooker and then layer in the ingredients. Cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours!
FAQs 0f each Dump Cake recipe
Why Is It Called Dump Cake?
This dessert gets its name since essentially all you do is dump the ingredients into the baking dish! There’s no measuring of ingredients or need to even grab a mixing bowl; simply dump in the peaches and dump the dry cake mix over it.
Is Dump Cake Supposed To Be Gooey?
Yes, dump cake is supposed to be gooey since the filling is canned fruit or canned pie filling. However, the consistency shouldn’t be runny gooey but more of a thick, sticky gooey!
Can I Use Fresh Peaches?
I wouldn’t recommend it, as fresh peaches won’t have the addition of heavy syrup, which helps to make for a gooey filling.
Can I Use Peach Pie Filling?
Yes, canned peach pie filling is an excellent choice to use in this recipe as well! To make this swap, you’ll want to grab two 21oz cans of pie filling.
