What Is Tiramisu?
Everyone loves classic Italian desserts. Classic Tiramisu is coffee-flavored most iconic Italian dessert and it will not disappoint you and your family, its so easy to make that you will enjoy making it occasionally!
It is made with lady fingers also known as sponge cake, liqueur and mascarpone and topping of chocolate powder is added.
What Country is Tiramisu from?
It’s an Italian dessert. The word Tiramisu (tirami su) means “cheer-me-up” or “pull-me-up”, in this sense one single bite of it will put you in a good mood!
No-bake Tiramisu has two main layers, ladyfingers dipped in liqueur and coffee and a mascarpone creamy layer.
My recipe does not use raw eggs. It’s the easiest recipe to make which was invented in 1970 by an Italian Ado Campeol restaurateur. It is pronounced as “tee-ruh-mee-soo”.
Why Not Raw Eggs!
The traditional recipe contains raw egg yolk, I’ve tried this raw egg and sugar combined with raw whipped eggs but thought people often reject this, then,
I tried to boil the egg and gently cook eggs and sugar before mixing them to the mascarpone, but I found that its hard to get creamy and thickly mascarpone layer I was looking for.
So, at the end I decided to omit the and use fresh whipped cream because I loved its texture and flavor and final result will also convince you to love it.
Does Tiramisu have to have alcohol?
Tiramisu normally contains alcohol. Traditionally Marsala wine is best choice, but main ingredients of this recipe are coffee and Mascarpone, you can just leave it out if you prefer not to use.
I am also going to omit this in my recipe and believe me it will be delicious with only coffee, remember to useextra strong coffeeg.
